BJP Honors Sher-e-Duggar on His Birth Anniversary

On the birth anniversary of the esteemed nationalist leader Pandit Prem Nath Dogra, affectionately known as Sher-e-Duggar, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) paid vibrant tributes today across Jammu and Kashmir. This significant event highlighted the ongoing impact of Dogra’s legacy on national unity and integration.

In Srinagar, the commemoration unfolded under the leadership of BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh. He, accompanied by senior party leaders, garlanded Pt. Dogra’s portrait at the party office, emphasizing his enduring influence on the region.

Senior BJP figures such as Sat Sharma, J&K BJP President; Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization); Dr. Shehnaz Ganai, and Anwar Khan were also present to offer their floral tributes to this great leader.

Tarun Chugh expressed profound respect for Pt. Dogra, calling him “an institution of national integration and selfless service.” He elaborated on Pt. Dogra’s dedication to the principle of ‘Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan’, which continues to guide the BJP’s ideology and mission today.

Furthermore, Chugh noted that the recent abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A by the Narendra Modi Government aligns with Pt. Dogra’s lifelong aspirations. He stated this achievement serves as “the ultimate tribute to his steadfast commitment to national unity.”

Sat Sharma heralded Pt. Dogra as a visionary leader whose efforts fueled the Praja Parishad Movement. He remarked that Dogra tirelessly worked towards complete integration of Jammu & Kashmir with India.

Sharma declared, “Pandit Ji’s long-cherished dream has been realized under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” His words resonated deeply with the attendees, reinforcing the significance of Dogra’s contributions.

In addition to Srinagar, observances took place in Jammu, where BJP leaders, including MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, J&K BJP General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra and Baldev Singh Billawaria, executed a Hawan and extended floral tributes at Dogra Chowk.

Jugal Kishore Sharma described Pt. Dogra as “a towering statesman and patriot who led the historic Praja Parishad Movement for full integration of J&K with India.” His characterization of Dogra emphasizes the dual role of leader and emblem of national unity.

Sanjita Dogra took this opportunity to inspire party workers, urging them to embody Pandit Ji’s selfless spirit. Meanwhile, Baldev Singh Billawaria highlighted that Dogra’s ideology established the groundwork for Jammu and Kashmir’s integration with the Indian Union.

These tributes to Pandit Prem Nath Dogra reaffirm the BJP’s commitment to his vision for an inclusive India, bolstering calls for unity and selfless public service across Jammu and Kashmir.
