The Border Security Force deeply mourns the loss of Constable (GD) Deepak Chimngakham, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty while defending the nation. Constable Chimngakham sustained grievous injuries during unprovoked cross-border firing along the International Boundary in the R S Pura area of District Jammu on 10 May 2025. Despite all efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and attained martyrdom in the early hours of 11 May 2025.
Director General, BSF, and all ranks of the Force salute the valor and dedication of Constable Chimngakham and express their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. His courage, commitment, and ultimate sacrifice in the service of the nation shall always be remembered with pride and honour.
A wreath-laying ceremony with full military honours will be held tomorrow, 12 May 2025, at the Frontier Headquarters, BSF Jammu, Paloura, to pay homage to the fallen hero.
