The Jammu and Kashmir government announced on Thursday the formation of a high-level committee aimed at developing a Single Window System for Recruitment Rules. This initiative seeks to enhance efficiency in processing recruitment rules in a stipulated timeframe.
The General Administration Department (GAD-JK) issued the order designating the Principal Secretary of the Public Works (R&B) Department as the committee’s Chairman. Members of the committee comprise various senior officials, including the Commissioner/Secretary of the General Administration Department, the Commissioner/Secretary of the ARI & Trainings Department, and the Secretaries of departments like School Education and Information Technology. Additionally, representatives from the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board, holding positions not lower than Additional Secretaries, round out the committee.
The committee’s primary responsibility is to finalize the digitization of recruitment rules by adopting the “Delhi Model”. This model aims to accelerate the recruitment process. Furthermore, the committee will collaborate with BISAG-N as a digital partner and will monitor and review the overall system for enhancements.
This development comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline the recruitment process in Jammu and Kashmir, addressing long-standing delays and inefficiencies. By implementing the Single Window System, the government expects to significantly improve transparency and accountability in the hiring processes.
The ARI & Trainings Department will provide necessary support to the committee, ensuring a structured approach to establishing this new system. According to a government spokesperson, the objective is clear: establish a modern, efficient recruitment framework that aligns with best practices.
In conclusion, the formation of the Single Window System committee represents a significant step forward in reforming recruitment processes in Jammu and Kashmir. With the integration of digital technologies and strategic management under experienced leadership, stakeholders anticipate a transformative impact on employment opportunities in the region.
