Srinagar, September 20, 2026: Team Red Foundation convened a pivotal meeting today to revamp its organisational structure, enhancing internal operations and assigning clear leadership roles. This strategic overhaul aims to bolster the NGO’s capacity to address social issues effectively across various sectors in Kashmir.
The meeting focused on optimising team dynamics and establishing a clear framework for operational functions and district-level coordination. Following a thorough evaluation of members’ strengths and organisational needs, Team Red leaders recognised the necessity to create distinct focus areas for streamlined decision-making.
Chairman Saadat Nasir Wani expressed optimism about the restructured framework, stating, “This restructuring is not merely about designations. It’s about empowering our team by providing them ownership, responsibility and opportunities for growth.” His emphasis on accountability and community-focused service reflects Team Red’s commitment to impactful change.
The new leadership structure creates focused departments to efficiently address diverse areas, including health, education, environment, and women’s initiatives. The core leadership sees Saadat Nasir Wani continuing as Chairman along with esteemed individuals like Sarmad Nasir Wani as General Secretary and Dr. Ashiq Rashid as Additional General Secretary, essential for driving forward Team Red’s objectives.
Furthermore, specific operational roles enhance the foundation’s effectiveness:
- Sports: Maqsood Rather leads as Head with a robust team.
- Health: Dr. Ashiq Rashid continues in an expanded role.
- Environmental initiatives see Mudasir Kambay at the helm.
- Women’s Wing: Led by Feema Farooq, focusing on empowering women in their communities.
