Ecoepicsolar Private Limited achieved a significant milestone at the 17th EPS Industry Connect – The Energy Exchange, organized by Industrial Outlook in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) at Radisson Blu, Jammu.
The company received two prestigious recognitions:
* Best Solar Street Light Manufacturer of Jammu & Kashmir
* Best Digital Innovation Award for its pioneering Solar Help Desk Platform
The awards were presented by Ms. Babila Rakwal, JKAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Science & Technology Department, and Chairperson, JAKEDA Executive Committee, in recognition of Ecoepicsolar’s outstanding contribution to renewable energy manufacturing, technological innovation, and digital transformation in the solar sector.
The conference brought together more than 250 policymakers, government officials, renewable energy developers, EPC companies, manufacturers, investors, utilities, and technology providers under the theme “Powering Jammu & Kashmir – India’s Mountain Energy Frontier.” The event served as a collaborative platform to discuss clean energy policies, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), smart grids, electric mobility, captive solar, open access, green tourism, and the evolving renewable energy landscape of the Union Territory.
Representing Ecoepicsolar, Er. Sarabjeet Singh Salyal, Managing Director, participated as a Distinguished Speaker during the technical session titled “Industrial Growth & Green Tourism – C&I Open Access, Captive Solar & Hospitality Electrification.”
Addressing policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders, Er. Salyal emphasized that the long-term success of solar projects depends on engineering excellence, quality assurance, and strict adherence to technical standards, rather than merely installing solar equipment. He stated that every successful project should begin with a comprehensive technical site survey, followed by detailed structural analysis, scientific system design, optimum module tilt angle, accurate cable sizing, proper earthing and safety measures, and the use of high-quality, certified components. He further stressed that installations must be carried out by skilled engineers and qualified technicians, followed by a comprehensive technical inspection and performance audit before the project is handed over to the customer.
Er. Salyal remarked that adherence to these engineering best practices not only enhances system efficiency, reliability, and operational life but also minimizes technical failures, reduces maintenance costs, and strengthens customer confidence. He urged EPC companies, developers, and implementation agencies to adopt standardized engineering practices and rigorous quality control measures to ensure that renewable energy projects deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable performance throughout their lifecycle.
Speaking on the future of renewable energy in Jammu & Kashmir, Er. Salyal noted that the Union Territory welcomed more than 2.3 crore tourists during the previous year, with visitor numbers expected to increase significantly over the next five years. He observed that this rapid growth will substantially increase the demand for reliable electricity, sustainable tourism infrastructure, public utilities, and clean energy solutions across the region.
Highlighting the importance of renewable energy, he stated, “Solar energy is no longer a trend; it is our future necessity.” He emphasized that Jammu & Kashmir must prepare today by strengthening renewable energy infrastructure, promoting innovation, encouraging local manufacturing, and adopting advanced solar technologies to meet the growing energy demands of tomorrow.
Er. Salyal also called for greater investment in youth development, stating that the region’s young engineers, technicians, and entrepreneurs possess exceptional talent, capability, and innovative thinking. However, he emphasized that they require structured platforms, industry exposure, and technical training, mentorship, and employment opportunities to contribute effectively to the renewable energy sector. He urged the Government, industry, academic institutions, and skill development organizations to work together in creating a robust ecosystem that connects young professionals with emerging opportunities in clean energy, enabling them to become key contributors to Jammu & Kashmir’s sustainable development.
Receiving the awards, the Ecoepicsolar team expressed its sincere gratitude to Industrial Outlook, JAKEDA, policymakers, industry leaders, renewable energy experts, business partners, customers, and employees for their continued trust, encouragement, and support. The company reaffirmed its commitment to manufacturing high-quality solar products, promoting indigenous innovation, advancing digital solutions through the Solar Help Desk Platform, and supporting the Government’s vision of building a sustainable, energy-secure, and self-reliant Jammu & Kashmir.
With these achievements, Ecoepicsolar Private Limited continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading renewable energy companies in the region, committed to driving innovation, empowering communities, creating opportunities for the next generation, and accelerating the clean energy transition across Jammu & Kashmir and beyond.
