In a pointed response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong>\u2019s recent video on social media platform X, she underscored that while some young Indians enjoy inherited opportunities, others in Kashmir face inherited curfews and trauma.<\/p>\n

During his video address, PM Modi called on the nation to forgive the students who expressed their anger through profanity during a protest at Jantar Mantar<\/strong>. In her rebuttal, Mufti argued that the Kashmiri youth do not require sympathy or charity but rather demand equal opportunities to thrive.<\/p>\n

\u201cHon\u2019ble PM @narendramodi, there are two Gen Zs in India,\u201d Mehbooba Mufti articulated. \u201cOne inherited opportunity; the other, in Kashmir, inherited curfews, crackdowns, internet shutdowns, lost classrooms, unemployment, and trauma. Kashmiri youth seek neither sympathy nor charity, only dignity, equal opportunity, political space, and the freedom to dream without fear.
