This observation follows the recording of about 38 per cent polling in the Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency during the fourth phase of general elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comparing the recent polling figures with previous years, Shah highlighted a significant increase in voter participation. In 2019, Srinagar recorded 14.43 per cent polling, while the figures stood at 25.86 per cent in 2014, 25.55 per cent in 2009, and 18.57 per cent in 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement on \u2018X\u2019, Shah noted that the abrogation of Article 370 has not only deepened democracy\u2019s roots in Jammu and Kashmir but has also bolstered people\u2019s trust in the democratic process.
