Speaking at a rally at Palta Shantinagar Health Centre ground, falling under the Barrackpore Lok Sabha seat where Partha Bhowmick is the Trinamul Congress nominee, Banerjee emphasized, \u201cWe do not want anything. We will support a progressive, sensitive, secular government in Delhi.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, Banerjee addressed another gathering at Bongaon, where Biswajit Das is the Trinamul candidate. In 2019, the seat was won by Shantanu Thakur of the BJP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During her address in Barrackpore, Banerjee criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating, \u201cNarendra Modi should tender an unconditional apology for his failure to deliver Rs 15 lakh in everyone\u2019s account and jobs to 2 crore youth each year for 10 years. He should apologize for the Centre\u2019s failure to purchase jute, which has led to the closure of jute mills in North 24-Parganas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She further added, \u201cHe is blaming me now. He is so shameless that in order to cover up his own faults, he speaks volumes of lies.\u201d Asserting Modi\u2019s guarantees as \u201cfalse and fake,\u201d Banerjee assured, \u201cRest assured, he will never keep his promises. I will die if I fail to keep my promises. I had promised before the 2012 election about Lakshmir Bhandar and implemented it.
