JAMMU, OCTOBER 31: A plantation drive was organised at the office of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu on the eve of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2026, with the objective of promoting environmental conservation and reinforcing the spirit of national unity.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Vikas Kundal led the plantation drive along with other senior officers of the administration. The programme was organised by the Urban Forestry Division, Jammu.
Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Urban Forestry Division Jammu, Ashwani Kumar along with field staff was also present during the plantation drive.
The programme was followed by the administration of the Unity Pledge in the Conference Hall of the Divisional Commissioner’s office. The pledge was administered by the Divisional Commissioner, reaffirming the commitment to national unity, integrity and the spirit of togetherness.
The event underscored the significance of environmental conservation and collective responsibility in upholding the ideals of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
