Jammu, 25 August 2026 — Jammu Motor Vehicles LLP, an authorized dealership of Mahindra & Mahindra, launched the BE 6 SPORTEQ, a groundbreaking electric SUV that combines sportiness with technological innovation. The event occurred at B C Road, Rehari, Jammu, and marked a significant milestone for Mahindra in its electric vehicle journey.
In front of dignitaries, including Sh Arvind Gupta Ji, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly of Jammu & Kashmir, the launch outlined Mahindra’s commitment to sustainable and performance-oriented electric mobility. The BE 6 SPORTEQ stands as a testament to Indian engineering prowess and aims to elevate the driving experience for customers.
During the launch, Mahindra also showcased the exclusive Launch Edition and the performance-driven Formula E Freedom Edition. These editions highlight the sporty character that Mahindra envisions for their electric vehicles.
Key Features of the BE 6 SPORTEQ
The BE 6 SPORTEQ introduces a range of advanced features including Battery as a Service (BaaS) starting at ₹ 11.45 Lakh. This policy allows users to pay only for the battery consumed, optimising cost efficiency at ₹ 3.75 per km.
The digital cockpit equipped with a coast-to-coast three-screen layout introduces several all-new TEQ Suites. Among them is TEQ_Talk powered by Google Gemini, aiming to create a more connected and intuitive driving experience.
The Launch Edition boasts a stunning Graphite Storm exterior paired with luxurious Racing Tan leatherette interiors. Meanwhile, the Formula E Freedom Edition sports an original racing-inspired cockpit and highlights Mahindra’s successful Formula E journey.
Engineers designed the BE 6 SPORTEQ series as a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV), which allows the inclusion of features through over-the-air updates for existing BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S vehicle owners starting January 2027. The significant technological advancements cater to enthusiasts looking for superior driving experiences.
Mr Vineet Aggarwal, Managing Partner at Jammu Motor Vehicles LLP, expressed excitement about the BE 6’s market reception since its November 2024 launch. “The BE 6 has resonated with owners, creating a strong emotional connection. Deliveries of the BE 6 SPORTEQ series will begin on 26th August 2026, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Onam.
