Sat Sharma Slams Congress, NC for Opportunist Politics

On September 30, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma (CA) harshly criticized the Congress, National Conference (NC), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accusing them of engaging in opportunist politics that stymied the development of Jammu & Kashmir and India as a whole. During the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition at Gulshan Chowk, Bandipora, held as part of the ‘Seva Parv’ dedicating to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Sharma condemned the INDI alliance parties for their repeated betrayals of the populace.

Prominent BJP leaders, including J&K General Secretary Anwar Khan and District President Bandipora Mudassir Farooq Jan, attended the exhibition, which showcases achievements linked to Modi’s leadership.

Sharma asserted that dynastic politics has plagued Jammu & Kashmir for decades, noting that the NC, Congress, and PDP thrive on nepotism, corruption, and favoritism. He stated that these parties prioritized self-interest and family rule, leaving the region in despair and depriving the youth of opportunities. Their governance, he claimed, ensured that Jammu & Kashmir lagged while they indulged in the perks of power.

In stark contrast, he highlighted the substantial changes in India and Jammu & Kashmir under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership since 2014. According to Sharma, the Modi administration represents a new era marked by unprecedented development, transparency, and accountability. He stated, “Modi Ji has transformed India, breaking the shackles of corruption and favoritism.”

Sharma emphasized that the progress in infrastructure, economic reforms, and social justice reflects a vision for a ‘New India’. The benefits of these developments resonate with citizens, marking a clear divide between the tangible achievements of Modi and the hollow promises of the INDI alliance.

Anwar Khan expressed that the exhibition symbolizes not only Modi’s milestones but also his vision for India, in stark contrast to the INDI alliance, which he claimed embodies corruption and betrayal. “The exhibition captures the sacrifice and vision of Modi Ji,” Khan stated.

Mudassir Farooq Jan further remarked that Modi’s leadership has afforded a new global identity to India and Jammu & Kashmir. He pledged to communicate these achievements to the public on a mission level, underscoring the BJP’s commitment to enhancing the region’s prospects.

As Jammu & Kashmir navigates its political landscape, Sharma’s strong words reflect a broader narrative within the BJP, seeking to assert the party’s role in the region’s development against a backdrop of criticism towards long-standing political rivals.
